Calgary's Film and Television production industry is booming. The film and TV industry is seeing exponential growth - and facilities like the Calgary Film Centre have led the way. We've gone from 20 percent occupancy to 100 percent in three years - creating jobs and opportunities while diversifying our economy. Just last week, it was estimated that the annual GDP impact of the film industry is north of $480M. Wynonna Earp, Under the Banner of Heaven and a Fraggle Rock reboot are just some of the productions that have recently chosen to film in Alberta.

Join us Wednesday, August 11, for a discussion with Lee Malleau, a leader in economic and business development, and Brock Skretting the head of Keep Alberta Rolling – a province-wide effort to continue supporting the expansion of screen-media sectors like film and television.

Let’s talk about the future of Calgary’s economy, and why Future-Proofing our growing sectors is an imperative to moving away from boom and bust cycles that undermine our City’s long-term stability. We can only do this effectively by partnering with other leaders inside and outside our community.
